Rich history in the
heart of The Hague
Maison Krul was built in 1903 by the Krul brothers, well-known chocolatiers and confectioners in The Hague. That same year, their bakery received a royal designation, the ‘Hofpredicaat Koninklijk’. Besides Queen Wilhelmina and Princess Juliana, Louis Couperus also was a popular guest in the Maison Krul tearoom.
in a historic setting
In 1970, Maison Krul closed its doors. Since then, the building has seen a range of occupants come and go. Now it is being redeveloped into the exclusive and small-scale apartment complex, Maison Royal, with respect for and preservation of its historical value.
If you choose Maison Royal, you’re choosing the quality and comfort of new construction and the look of a historic building. The luxury, small-scale apartment complex is slated for completion in autumn 2019.
